Clothing Optional Travel
FAQ and Tips For First-Timers
Here are the
answers to the questions we hear most often about Nude Vacations.
Let’s take
a moment for a “first time visit” to Florida Paradise Lakes Clothing Optional
Resort.
Here are a few frequently asked questions that
will answer some additional questions you may have, however if you have
a question that is not addressed here, send your question to "info@FLParadise.com"
and an answer will gladly be returned to any questions you may have.
What should I bring, what
should I
wear...
"On my first visit, must I
be completely nude?" At Paradise Lakes Resort, the answer is
"no." You can wear your swim suit, go topless, or you may
find yourself wanting to shed your "second skin" sooner
rather than later. Why? Because many around you are nude or topless,
quite relaxed, and enjoying their Paradise Lakes experience.
We respect each other's
individuality. Our self-esteem is enhanced by accepting ourselves as
we really are, and we find it easy to accept others, regardless of
their physical size, shape, body condition, or what they choose to
wear.
Clothing-optional etiquette
means that you always carry your own towel to sit or lounge on and a
second towel for hot tubs and pools. Two large towels per person,
sunscreen, and sunglasses are recommended in your luggage.
Why clothing-optional?
No matter your age, occupation,
or physical condition you can recapture the freedom you knew as a
child. Remember skinny dipping when you were young? The luxurious
feeling of innocence and fun? You can re-live that feeling at Paradise
Lakes Resort.
One of the healthiest trends of
our times is the continuous growth of nude recreation and
clothing-optional travel. Self acceptance and total relaxation are two
of this trend's greatest contributions.
Women especially have been
delighted to discover what nude and clothing-optional recreation are
really like as these experiences become more and more popular in our
society.

All kinds of people! Nude travel represents a
broad cross section of people, from professionals to laborers, old
to young and wild to mild. What kind of people you'll be vacationing
with largely depends on what nude resort or destination you choose.

The term "clothing optional" refers to resorts
where clothing is just that - optional. You may choose to keep your
clothes on or not. This is the most common type of resort. Resorts that
are "nude" mean that nudity IS required, though some may allow the first
time visitors a certain period of time to adjust. It is worth noting
that most people at Clothing Optional Resorts go without their clothes -
if they wanted to keep their clothes on they would go to a textile
resort. Florida Paradise is Clothing Optional.
Typically not - though there are some exceptions,
such as nude cruises - most of the time the CO resorts will be priced
comparably with other textile resorts that offer the same type of
facilities and amenities.
Not at all. While it is true that some resorts
tend to attract "swingers", very few of the CO resorts sell themselves
as strictly swingers resorts, and those that do make it VERY clear in
their advertising. Don't assume that because a clothing optional resort
is "adults-only" that it is a swingers resort!! Read our Couples and
Adults Only Resorts FAQ for more info on the topic.

There is still much scientific debate about
the relationship between sun exposure and Melanoma, the most serious
type of skin cancer. Most information we have seen indicates that
severe sunburns are the most serious risk. One thing is for sure -
wearing a quality sunscreen is a good idea.
A full line of sun and skin
protection can be found in the boutique. |

What if I get sexually aroused?
(i.e., an erection)
This is rarely a problem if
handled discreetly. The setting is totally non-sexual and not conducive
to arousal. While on your “clothed tour” when you make your first visit,
you will have a chance to acclimate yourself to the setting which will
set your mind at ease about such concerns.
What would you do if you got an erection any other place? This is rarely
a significant problem if handled discreetly.
However, if you experience arousal,
simply don't make a big deal out of it - just position yourself
discreetly or cover up temporarily.
